Kathleen is thrilled to be a part of this production of The Sound of Music. Kathleen is Canadian born and has called Australia home for the past nine years. She has an honours degree in Theatre and has continued studies in Opera, Art Song and Oratorio at the University of Toronto, Canada.

Professional Canadian stage works include Page in Seesaw, Clarice/ Brigella in Servant of Two Masters (Toronto, Canada), Phyllis in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe (Winnipeg), Minerva in Orpheus and the Underworld (Edmonton), and Premier Fée in Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra’s Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Kathleen also wrote, produced and performed in productions for the Winnipeg and Edmonton Fringe Festivals.

In Australia, Kathleen made her first major stage appearance in the Really Useful Group’s Australasian tour of Phantom of the Opera in 2007-2009 playing the roles of Confidante and Wardrobe Mistress. Subsequently she has played Clara in The Light in the Piazza at Lyric Theatre Sydney in 2008, Edith understudy in Opera Australia’s Pirates of Penzance at the Sydney Opera House in 2010, and Yelenka and Lara understudy in the GFO touring production of Dr. Zhivago in 2011. In 2010 she also worked on the recording of the new Australian opera, Morgan’s Run. Kathleen returned in 2012 to The Phantom of the Opera touring with RUG’s international cast to Manila, Seoul, Daegu, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Istanbul understudying the role of Madame Giry.
